LearnServe International

• 2 programs offered: Fellows and Abroad
• Fellows is a 9 month training program in social entrepreneurship
• Abroad is a 5 month program preparing students for two-week service trips to Jamaica, Paraguay, and Zambia
• Approximately 90 students in both programs each year
• Roughly 25% overlap between the two programs
• 30 participating schools in the District of Columbia and Montgomery and Fairfax counties
• 650 DC-area students directly engaged in LearnServe Fellows and Abroad programs since 2004
• 2,500+ students engaged in youth-led social change through LearnServe students and alumni

• 45 ventures designed and pitched to expert panels
• 58 LearnServe Fellows graduates

• 49 students and teachers traveled overseas
• 60% of students received financial assistance
• 76% of students attend DC Public or Public Charter schools
• 91% of students felt the experience had changed them
• $8,115 raised for projects in Jamaica, Paraguay, and Zambia
