The world is changing.

Schools today must prepare students for the economy of tomorrow.  Over the past decade we have seen exponential growth in demand for global-minded employees concerned about sustainability, responsibility, and social impact – a trend that cuts across the social sector, government, and private sector.

High schools today must prepare their students for this new economy, which demands a blend of social consciousness, innovation, cross-cultural fluency, and business leadership.  For many universities and employers, academics alone are no longer sufficient.

These skills lie at the heart of service-learning, yet are rarely reflected in most schools’ approaches to community service.  LearnServe challenges students to wrestle with unfamiliar issues and motivates them to take action.  As we integrate the LearnServe Fellows and Abroad programs with initiatives inside school walls, we offers students and schools the opportunity to:

  • understand people, communities, and issues beyond their typical scope of reference;
  • hone their leadership and business skills; and
  • make a meaningful impact on the community around them.

We hope you’ll join us!
