How can students get involved?

Become a Fellow…

and over nine months you’ll learn how to become a global changemaker. You’ll gain insight into some of our world’s pressing global issues, and you will see how one person, you, can make a difference. For your final project you will design a venture that when launched will affect the lives of others. To learn more, visit our Fellows page and read what past participants have said. The only cost is commitment.

Join a LearnServe Trip

Or maybe you’re interesting in seeing the world. Our Trips programs will travel to Zambia and Paraguay in the summer of 2009. See first-hand the difference you can make in the lives of others… working side by side with NGO operatives, you’ll learn what sustainable development is and how it improves the lives of others. As a member of your school team you will learn as much as you teacher—when you return to your school it is your responsibility to share what you have learned and help your school to become more internationally aware and involved.

Step forward

Whether as a Fellow or as a member of a LearnServe trip, or both, you will begin to become a global citizen. You will gain first hand experience and knowledge that will not only transform you but will begin to give you the skills that tomorrow’s leaders will need—the ability to understand complicated world problem such as AIDS and how they can be broken down into simple solutions that change lives. These experiences you have and the skills you gain will change the way you see the world and address its problems.
