LearnServe Alums Selected as Winners of “Banking on Youth” Competition; Regional Finalist Yoni Kalin meets Venus Williams of the Washington Kastles
Congratulations to the following LearnServe Alums, selected as regional winners in Youth Venture’s “Banking on Youth” competition:
- Yoni Kalin, Color My World (Field School; Fellows ’11, Paraguay ’11) — Regional Finalist. Yoni was recognized by SunTrust Bank at a Washington Kastles Team Tennis event featuring Venus Williams. He will compete for a $15,000 grand prize at the Youth Venture Summit on July 28.
- Nora van Trotsenburg, Culture to Children (Washington International School; Fellows ’12, Zambia ’12) — Regional Winner
- Kate Dildy, Grace Reichardt, Young Advocates for Change (Georgetown Day School and Richard Montgomery; Fellows ’12) — Regional Winner
- Amaya Bravo, Robin Pollak, Clean Care Group (Sidwell Friends; Fellows ’12) — Regional Winner
