Omnia Saed, LearnServe Fellow 2012, was awarded a Youth Service America Summer of Service award for her venture, #RealTalk, which encourages teens to be informed and talk about important issues.
“Teenagers need a place to talk – they want to talk. We just have to give them funnel to do it,” says Omnia. The recognition came with a $1,000 prize. Omnia learned about the Summer of Service award through LearnServe.
She was also featured on DC’s ABC7 in their report on 4 local winners of the award.
