Today we visited “Wataland”, as well as a beach in Ocho Rios. The day was filled with fun and excitement. We were scheduled to go to Dunn’s River, but voted against it, because it included a climb and most of felt Blue Mountain was enough. Our day started as usual with breakfast at 8am, and then we departed. We were on the road for about two and a half hours. When we arrived everyone was excited and in a huge rush to get off the bus. We received our wristbands and immediately looked for a place to leave our things. We started with the inflated obstacle course. There was a slide, a trampoline, and much more. Some of us decided that it was too much for us, especially since it went up to eight feet, and went to the four feet section. I didn’t really feel like swimming so I just hung out in the four feet section and watched others go down the slide. I was a bit disappointed because I thought there would be more variety in the activities that we could do. Then some of us came up with the idea to eat lunch and see if we could go to the beach.
We left for the beach at about 3 and got there at about 4. I had so much more fun at the beach than at Wataland. At the beach you have the freedom to just hang out in the sand, or sit in the water. At first a couple of people complained about having to leave Wataland, but it seemed that they enjoyed the beach just the same. For me personally, I enjoyed the beach more than Wataland. At Wataland the ground was rubber inside of the water and it was hard to grip and for me the sand was easier to get a hold of. At the beach we interacted with each other a lot more than at Wataland. Just the simple times that we spend together brings us together more as a group.
