LearnServe Selected for Catalogue for Philanthropy Class of 2015-16

We are proud to announce that LearnServe International has been selected for inclusion in the 2015-16 Catalogue for Philanthropy DC.  LearnServe was first selected to the Catalogue for Philanthropy in 2011-12 for a three-year period of recognition.

The Catalogue for Philanthropy takes the guesswork out of giving by identifying the best community-based charities in Washington D.C. and nearby Maryland and Virginia. Our network of more than 330 vetted charities is made up of organizations with budgets below $3 million that serve the environment, arts, education and human services throughout Greater Washington.

We are honored to be identified as one of the best small non-profits in the DC area.  And we are proud to be in such excellent company, recognized alongside other local charities and LearnServe partners including: One World Education, Operation Understanding DC, Global Kids, The Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, and Playworks.

The 2015-16 Catalogue for Philanthropy will be sent to over 25,000 people across the DC metropolitan area.  Additionally, LearnServe will have the opportunity to connect more closely with other small nonprofits and take part in The Catalogue’s educational sessions to help us make the most use of our resources.  We look forward to learning best practices that work for other organizations, and discovering how those lessons can be applied to LearnServe as we strengthen our mission of creating the next generation of social entrepreneurs.
