This year, we’re not dressing up. We’re showing up.
LearnServe is doing something different—because different is what’s needed. In a time of urgent challenges, our community is craving something more than celebration. We’re craving purpose. Progress. Change.
So this year, instead of gathering for a gala, we’re rolling up our sleeves and getting to work.
Welcome to Fed Up? Do Something, LearnServe’s Day of Action.
This bold reimagining of our annual event is our answer to the frustration we feel—and the hope we refuse to give up on.
It’s also still a vital fundraiser for LearnServe—one that reflects our mission more authentically by investing in action, not attire. Every dollar raised supports youth-led service, leadership, and changemaking throughout our region.
It’s not a moment to watch. It’s a moment to move.
On Saturday, June 7, join LearnServe students, alumni, families, and partners at Washington Leadership Academy for a day of hands-on service, youth-led projects, and real-time impact. Together, we’ll tackle challenges that matter—to our communities, our youth, and our future.Whether you’re volunteering, sponsoring, or spreading the word, your role in this day will be felt and seen. This isn’t about sitting back. It’s about stepping forward.
Whether you’re passionate about education, the environment, food justice, or community care, there’s a way for you to contribute. We’ll have opportunities suited to all interests and levels of physical mobility.
What to Expect:
9:00–11:00am – Help LearnServe Fellows sharpen their elevator pitches at Boardroom Pitch Prep, speak your truth at Raise Your Voice by writing your representative, join a powerful mental health workshop with The Love Catalyst, or contribute to Honoring a Legacy, an artistic tribute to beloved LearnServe advisor James Cunningham. Brighten someone’s day with Messages that Matter, get your hands dirty planting at the Green Thumb Station, or commit to your own impact through the Changemaker Pledge.
12:00 – 2:00pm – We’ll all come together for a community lunch and celebration to reflect, connect, and recognize the impact we made—together.
Why We’re Shifting
Our students aren’t waiting to be told what to do—they’re already doing it. Leading with creativity, urgency, and care, they’re pushing for solutions to the problems they see every day.
The best way we can celebrate them? Stand beside them. Work with them. Believe in them.
Ready to Do Something?
This is more than an event—it’s a call.
To show up. Speak out. Do something.
Because change doesn’t come from watching.
It comes from working together.
Can’t Join Us? You Can Still Take Action.
Whether you’re rolling up your sleeves with us on June 7 or cheering from afar, you can still be part of the impact. Support LearnServe’s Day of Action by donating to Fund the Change—a giving initiative that powers youth-led service projects, supplies, and solutions throughout the year. Your gift helps ensure every student has the resources to lead with purpose and impact their community.
We look forward to seeing you at our Day of Action!
Behind every changemaker is a community that believes in them. And when young people rise, we all rise.
