Right now, we need young changemakers more than ever. 2021 was filled with so much uncertainty, while exposing social justice issues like never before. LearnServe offered a safe space for students to translate their fear and isolation into courage, agency, and action.
2021 by the Numbers
- Keeping pace with our pre-pandemic enrollment rate, 150 students participated in LearnServe’s Global Summer Fellowship, Fellows, Incubator, and partnership programs
- 95% of program participants felt by being a part of LearnServe they grew as empathic leaders.
- 70% of participants across LearnServe Programs felt LearnServe helped them deal with the effects of the pandemic.
- 89% of participants shared that in LearnServe, they felt a sense of belonging – that their perspectives were valued by staff and peers.
- In the Fellows Program, 88% of participants felt the program improved their critical thinking, and 81% shared the program empowered them to take action.
