How do we raise children to be creative problem solvers, risk takers, and highly motivated young adults? LearnServe International helps teens channel their life experiences and personal passions into sustainable, community-based change.

In a world that increasingly requires young people to think outside the box, we teach the entrepreneurship and leadership skills needed to tackle social challenges at home and abroad. Our students launch innovative social ventures to benefit their communities and schools.

How can my child get involved? +

LearnServe trains young social entrepreneurs through interconnected extracurricular programs, international trips, and in-school classes:

LearnServe Fellows  provides after-school social entrepreneurship training for a select 60 high school students (grades 10-11) from public, independent, and charter schools in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as Lusaka, Zambia and Asuncion, Paraguay.

LearnServe Incubator maximizes the impact of students who already have promising social ventures in mind in an intensive second year. The program is offered virtually, via Zoom, bringing together students from multiple cities.

LearnServe Abroad deepens high school students’ understanding of social innovation through a global lens, centered around purposeful travel to Jamaica, Paraguay, South Africa, and Zambia.
