LearnServe Fellows design and launch their own “social ventures” - projects that benefit their neighborhoods and schools. They connect with like-minded peers from diverse backgrounds in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia; in Lusaka, Zambia; and in Asuncion, Paraguay. They meet leading local organizations tackling poverty, discrimination, climate change, civic engagement, and other pressing social problems and work closely with business mentors from local companies. As LearnServe Fellows, students will emerge with stronger leadership and entrepreneurship skills, empowered to make change in their communities!
Fee Structure
Applies to Washington, DC Programs Only
LearnServe is committed to ensuring our leadership, social entrepreneurship, and global experiences are accessible to all students, regardless of individual circumstances.
To remove any financial barriers to participating in our programming, we have transitioned to a sliding-scale tuition model for the LearnServe Fellows Program in the Washington, DC region. With this model, no participant will be turned away due to a family’s financial situation. Additionally, there is no cost to participate for all DCPS students.
Our sliding scale tuition ranges from $50 to $1,250, and your particular fee will be determined using a simple online form that places you in the appropriate tuition rate on this scale. *NOTE: DCPS students and families do not need to complete the form.
In addition to tuition, if you would like to consider donating to LearnServe, we welcome your support! The average cost per participant in the LearnServe Fellows Program is $2,000, and we welcome all donations to support another student's ability to participate in our programs. Simply email any of our staff members should you be interested in donating! We thank our community of supporters who help keep our tuition low to ensure our programs remain accessible to all.
